How dates are set
School calendars in Sweden
In Sweden each municipality sets its own school holidays, so dates are listed for the largest cities. The winter sports break (sportlov) falls in different weeks: week 7 in Göteborg, week 8 in Malmö and Uppsala, week 9 in Stockholm in 2027.
School holidays in Sweden are set by each municipality.
Gothenburg covers: Municipal schools (kommunala grundskolor) in Göteborgs Stad; independent schools may differ.
Single schools can add a few days of their own (for example for teacher training or local feasts). Check with your school for those.
