How dates are set
Who decides
School holidays in Finland are set by each municipality.
In Finland each municipality sets its own school holidays, so dates are listed for the largest cities. The winter ski holiday (hiihtoloma) falls in week 8, 9 or 10 depending on the city.
Single schools can add a few days of their own (for example for teacher training or local feasts). Check with your school for those.
